2Your account

• You must be 18 or over to open an account. Learners under 18 may use the platform through an account set up, or approved, by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for it.
• Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

3What we provide

MyStudyCorner is a platform where students book live online lessons with tutors we have reviewed and approved. Lessons take place in our own online classroom in your web browser.

Tutors set their own subjects, availability and hourly rates. We do not guarantee that a particular tutor will be available.

4Prices and payment

• Each tutor's price is shown in pounds, euros or US dollars before you book, and that is the amount you pay.
• You pay for each lesson through PayPal, with a PayPal account or a debit or credit card. We never see or store your card details.
• A lesson is confirmed once your payment has gone through. There are no subscriptions or automatic renewals.
• Wallet credit can be used for future lessons in the same currency, or refunded on request.

5Cancelling and refunds

Your rights to cancel and to refunds are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6Lesson recordings

Lessons are recorded so students can revise from them and so we can keep lessons safe and investigate concerns. Recordings are available to the student, the tutor and our staff, and are described in our Privacy Policy.

You must not record lessons yourself, or share recordings or classroom links with anyone else.

7Using the platform properly

Our Acceptable Use Policy, Tutor Code of Conduct and Student & Parent Guidelines apply to everyone. We may suspend or close accounts that break them or put others at risk.

8Intellectual property

The MyStudyCorner name, website and platform belong to My Study Corner LTD or its licensors. Lesson materials belong to the tutor who created them. You may use them for your own learning, not share or sell them.

9Our responsibility to you

We provide the platform with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result, and our liability for a lesson is limited to the price you paid for it.

We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for interruptions caused by events outside our control, such as a failure of your internet connection.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change matters to bookings you have already paid for, we will tell you before it applies to them.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live and may bring a claim in your local courts.
