MyStudyCorner

Keeping children and young people safe comes before everything else at MyStudyCorner.

1If a child is in immediate danger

Call the emergency services now: 999 in the UK, 112 in the European Union, or your local emergency number.

2Reporting a concern

Report any worry about a child's safety or a tutor's behaviour to our safeguarding lead at [email protected], or through the Report an Issue page. Every report is read by a person, kept confidential, and acted on.

Where needed we share concerns with the police, children's social care, the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) or the equivalent authority where the child lives.

3How lessons are kept safe

  • Every tutor is reviewed and approved by our team before they can teach.
  • Tutors teaching under-18s are expected to hold a current enhanced DBS check, or the equivalent police check in their country.
  • Lessons take place only in our own classroom and are recorded.
  • Messages stay on the platform. Tutors must not ask for or share personal phone numbers, social media or private meeting links.
  • Parents and guardians are welcome to sit in on lessons.

4What we expect from adults

  • Professional, respectful communication at all times.
  • No one-to-one contact with a learner outside the platform.
  • Report any concern straight away, even if unsure.
